Rare Music Direct takes great pride in the quality
of its packing and we try our best to ensure that you are happy with your
goods and that you receive them in the condition as advertised on our
website.
However, very occasionally, circumstances may lead to you wishing to return
damaged goods or even cancel an order.
We have outlined here our Return Policy and it is important for a return
to be accepted that you follow this policy to the letter.
Damaged Item(s) :
Any item which has suffered deviation from the condition as described
at the time of sale on the website, between the time of order and the
time of delivery to the recorded address. You can always return items
if they are damaged or unusable (unless purchased in a condition where
quality is notified as reduced. For example sold as “for display
purposes only”) subject to the following.
To Return a Damaged Item :
To return a Damaged Item to us
1. Package the damaged item securely and send it to "Our Returns
Address”, marking it “Returned Item”. You may reuse
our packaging materials being careful to re-label clearly.
2. With the returned item supply the following details in writing
a. Your full name and postal address
b. Details of returned item i.e. record label, artist, title etc
c. Date of Purchase
d. Amount Paid for item - analysed between item total and postage
e. Precise details of defect / reason for return
3. Ensure the return is posted to us within 7 working days (the 7 day
period starts the day after you receive the goods)
Once we have received the retuned item it will be reviewed within 5 working
days and you will be advised of our view.
If we agree with your assessment / reason for return we will refund the
delivery charges incurred in sending the item to you and your costs in
returning it to us along with your item purchase price. Otherwise you
will be responsible for the delivery charges incurred in sending the item
to you and your costs in returning it to us and you will only be refunded
the item purchase price charges. Our judgement in the matter is final.
If we feel that you persistently return items for invalid reasons we reserve
the right to suspend or cancel your account.

To Cancel an Order Prior Despatch of Goods :
If you wish to cancel an order it is vitally important that this is done
at the earliest possible opportunity.
To cancel an order in writing please write immediately to our “Order
Cancellation Address”, marking it as “Order Cancellation”
and providing the following details
a. Your full name and postal address
b. Details of items ordered i.e. record label, artist, title etc
c. Date of Order
d. Amount of Order - analysed between item total and postage
e. Precise and full reason for order cancellation

We reserve the right to pass on any incurred charges in the event of untimely
order cancellation.
If we feel that you persistently cancel orders for invalid reasons we
reserve the right to suspend or cancel your account.
If you wish to Cancel an Order After Despatch of Goods :
When you advise us of your wish to cancel an order we will advise you
if the goods have already been despatched.
If the goods have been despatched you should follow the following procedure
Return the goods immediately on arrival. There is no need to open the
parcel, simply re-label it and send to “Our Cancellation Address”.
You do however have 7 working days to return the goods (the 7 day cancellation
period starts the day after you receive the goods). Please package the
cancelled item securely and send it to "Our Cancellation Address".
You will be responsible for the costs of returning the items to us. We
will refund within 30 days of cancellation the purchase price for that
item less, any costs of returning the items to us that we incur.
